A little wrecked

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Mid-week rest day.  If you’re feeling a bit wrecked today (I am), enjoy the fall weather.  Look at the leaves, the blue sky, the shorter days…Enjoy it all.

Look for an announcement for a fun event on Saturday, October 16.  Go ahead and look at the calendar and plan on having fun.  This is all the detail you get for now.

Benchpress 5@ 40%, 5 @ 50%, 5 @ 60%.

Then:

Pull up ladder.  With a continuously running clock, do the number of pull ups on the corresponding minute until failure.  For example, do one the first minute, two the second minute, three the third minute, and so on until you cannot do the correct number.

Funny group of entertainment I saw posted today.  Enjoy.

How can you not be fast…

Yummy Goodness

Saturday, September 25th, 2010

Below you see all the goodness that is the Chicken Alan at Maggie’s Kitchen, compliments of Tom Edder.  About 1,500 calories to help fuel your pursuits.

What is it?  Two (that’s right, two) boneless chicken breasts, cheese, grilled onions, an avocado, and about six pieces of bacon.  Mmmmmmmmm, bacon.  And in the display that Tom created for us today, please note that the bacon is elegantly positioned in a meat flag staking it’s claim on the table.

Thank you , Tom for the yummy goodness you have created.  Please note that this deliciousness comes in a smaller version featuring only one chicken breast.  Either version is full of awesomeness.  Get some, go again!

And yes, behind the mound of meat you see, there are a few fries lurking in the background hoping to fullfill their purpose in life.  Moderation…moderation.
