Heel Height and Position

Alan found a great article on High Heels shoes and squatting. The key is to always wear stilettos.

As you scan/read the article, note the two different bottom positions for the female in the photos. The first is with “normal” lifting shoes and the second is with more elevation on the same shoes. You can really see how, with the extra elevation, her bottom position is far superior.

The tl;dr (too long; don’t read … it’s an Interwebs thing)  is this:
Do NOT squat without shoes.
Try to only squat with lifting shoes
If need be, add the 5 lb. metal plates to stand on (heels on them) when squatting.

You’ll be amazed at the difference!
