Mobility and Squatterdays

We enjoyed a much-needed mobility day today at the box and I can tell you that the 6 AM’ers were quite happy with it!

Squatterdays
We are nearing the end of our Smolov, Jr. squat cycle. It has been a TON of work but we are already seeing huge improvements in form and know that those who have participated will see some serious jumps in their High Bar Back Squat numbers.

SATURDAY
Week 3, Day 3
8 AM at the gym.

It’s earlier because it’s supposed to be nice out this weekend and we want to take as little of the day up as possible.

SUNDAY
Week 3, Day 4
8 AM at the gym.

Consider this one optional. I, and a few others, will be there to finish off the final day of lifts.

I’m not going to lie. This is going to be a tough two days of work … but it’s supposed to be. Even I am reluctant to do it but, you know what? You have to just get your butt under that bar, pick it up and squat it. These are the days where you will make your gains. Not in strength; rather, in the mental fortitude that comes from working your asses off and struggling through the difficult work/lifts.

It’s been phenomenal work to date by EVERYONE … seriously! Let’s all suck it up, rally around one another and push through these last two sessions!

Snatch Skill Work/Warm Up
7x 1 @ 60% of 1RM (pause 2 inches off ground at the bottom)
