Rest Day

Make your rest day count.  Rest and recover or do something fun.  Being mentally prepared and refreshed is vital to improving your performance.  As is resting.

See the video below.  Coach Mike Burgener showed this at the Olympic Lifting certification, and Laurie found it and forwarded it to me.  Laurie, thanks for finding it.

The Olympic lifts are incredible for building strength, power, and neuromuscular coordination.  Completing the lifts successfully requires one to jump hard while moving a weight precisely, and then pulling under the bar aggressively and meeting the weight in the precise receiving position.

Lots of moving parts.  Many of you have heard me say, “if you can be good at the snatch, you can be good at a lot of things.”  I believe this.

Watch the skill, speed, and precision in the video.  I hope your inspired.
