The Squat Clean

Technique, technique, technique!

Olympic lifts are all about our technique and, today, we took a great deal of time in class to really work on our squat cleans. Olympic lifts are an incredibly important component of our training. Why? Because they build up our overall power and explosion. They make us stronger, better and more efficient at what we do (both in the gym and out of it).

I know at the 8:15 class, I saw a lot of progress being made with the lift in just one class but … really, one class is not nearly enough to get more proficient at such a technical and difficult lift. However, we have a solution for you on how you can get better with these lifts (cleans, snatches and jerks). The Monday night Olympic Lifting class. And, guess what? It’s free this month! So, get down to the gym on Mondays at 6 PM and learn more about these important but difficult lifts. You’ll be amazed at what a little progression on their technique will do for your overall fitness and performance in class/at workouts.
