Tough
In yet another feat of amazing human performance, Bill Miller completed the San Juan Solstice run. This run is 50 miles and about two million feet (that might be stretching it a bit) of elevation around Lake City. On almost no training, Bill finished in 15:42.
Way to go Bill. More details to follow.
And, by the way, Bill, you might be the toughest dude we know.
Congratulation Bill! You da man!!!!
Awesome, Bill! Congrats!
Congrats Bill! It must have been the breakfast burrito breakfast training. Thank you for your help at the breakfast and Pacie and Angie too.
Holy Dam Bill. I am in awe of your stamina. Not many can say they have accomplished what you have. Be proud good man. And a big shout out to Kevin for giving it his all, lots of miles you guys logged. It kind of makes Imogene look like a warm up.
Cheers!
I saw all this first hand and have to say that Bill Miller is a super star! He had an incredible attitude and found the resolve deep within himself to do this. There were about 15 runners ahead of us on the way up. He wanted to “pick them all off.” I am proud to say that he did just that. We passed every single person by the finish line! Bill deserves many Kudos!!!
So proud of you, Bill!
XCredit, thanks so much for pacing the final 10. You were the perfect person for the job and it means so much to both of us that you were game.
Kudos to you both!
Congrats Bill, what an amazing achievement! It sounds like one long sufferfest, way to push through it! And congrats to Jenny, too. I knew you would be a great pacer for Bill! Did Pacie get some photos of you two?
Thanks everyone! I’m copying what I put on FB:
Thanks to my awesome pacer, Jenny Hart, for getting me up the last 1700ft, my CrossFit coaches and friends for making me strong, Alan Cook for teaching me how to run, my darling wife, Pacie, for all your love and support, and Kev-z for getting me into this thing in the first place. Finished in 15:24!
Jenny and I did 5 burpees at the finish line, because we’re Xfitters, not runners!
