The end of Smolov, Jr…for now

Benchpress PR’s were everywhere today. Congrats to everyone who got a PR. For those who didn’t, don’t let it ruin your day, but evaluate why you missed. Was it your strength or was it your form. If it was your form, you can fix it immediately. If it was your form, was it the same mistake you made in training? If so, it proved the point that you play the way you practice.

When you have been lifting for a while, PR’s are difficult. Focus more on your form and the PR’s will happen. Listen to your coaches and you will make progress. As many of you have been to other CrossFit gyms across the country can attest, we have some good coaches here who know what they are doing and know how to help you. But they can’t help you if you won’t help yourself. Much like yesterday’s notes, focus on a goal and realize it in short order.

Evaluate where you missed. Also evaluate why you made your PR. Did you get that much stronger or did your form improve. Or both.
