We talk a lot about moving weight quickly through space: power.  The power clean is a lift that we can learn relatively quickly to generate power.  Coach Mike Burgener explains that the Olympic Lifts are vertical jumps with a barbell.  The power clean helps us learn to generate this explosive power.
