Rest Day

great-abs

Where do you want to be a year from now?  Where do you want to be three months from now?  Next week?

We spend a lot of time correcting form and learning new movements and helping you perform better to get faster and stronger.  You will also hear “how do you look, how do you feel, how do you perform.”

What we do everyday at the gym is too hard to just show up casually for a workout.  Not that you can’t, but it sure is much easier to go hard if you know why you are going hard.  What are your goals?  Why are you here?  Are you training for an event?  Are you trying to improve at your sport?  Are you here for the camaraderie?  Are you improving your health?  Are you just trying to look better?

Recently, one of our members stated that he had a real problem with the workouts.  He needed to start smoking, chewing tobacco, and drinking alcohol because he had to raise his blood pressure because he no longer needed his blood pressure medication for control of this health issue.  A funny illustration of how this lifestyle change we call CrossFit changed a life.

What are your goals?

We should all post our goals on here, and then we can be held accountable for them. I’ll start.

OK, the goal I’ll pick, as there are lots of them, is to climb Belly Full of Bad Berries (5.13 – the hardest Offwidth Crack in Indian Creek). We better get that crack machine built if I’m to have a chance on this. I’m gonna need some mega core strength too. http://www.bdel.com/scene/video/alex_indian_creek.html – here’s a video of what I’m up against.
