Deck o’ Angie

We had two camps in action at the gym today: (1) those of us who needed to complete 13.3 and post a score and (2) those of us lucky enough not to have to do 13.3 today.

For those in the first camp, no one rocked like Aimee did. I mean, come on? Could this woman be more awesome. She’s like 17 months pregnant with quintuplets and she still finished the 150 Wall Balls (a.k.a Karen) and got well into the Double Unders. You are an inspiration, Aimee!

It's as though she has to do two 14 lb. wall balls at once! Aimee rocking the CrossFit Games Open WOD 13.3

For those of us lucky enough to have 13.3 in our rear view mirrors, you got to do …

Deck o’ Angie
Use a deck of cards as a guide to the following movements:
Push Ups (spades)
Pull Ups (clubs)
Squats (hearts)
Sit Ups (diamonds)

Using every card in the deck, do the number of repetitions on the selected card for the movement associated with the selected suit. For example, a 3 of diamonds would mean, go do 3 sit ups. Because “some people”, whose names I’ll leave out (ahem, it was Jenny and Jackie but don’t tell them I told you), cried and whined that Aces were 11 reps, we relented and made Aces a single rep … babies :).

As usual, a wonderful morning at the box! Thanks to all that came out and played.

Aimee, you are amazing…… but I do wonder what the poor baby was thinking during all of this!!

Sure do miss you guys. But…it seems as if Brian and Craig and Martha are taking good care to make sure everyone is having “fun” in our usual way.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I must say my form was not quite up to games standards. The baby slept all day and then of course was doing flips and kicking all evening and night! We need to work on that 🙂
