Always looking

We are always looking for the best training techniques, methods, programming and exercises. While perusing the insanity that is Facebook this morning, we found this from Self Magazine…

“The Easiest Workout. Standing on one leg when you’re brushing your teeth works deep core muscles. It’s a perfect short workout, creating a degree of instability that works the smaller muscles essential for core strength. Now, you’ll have a great smile and a flatter mid-section.”

This is not a joke. It’s very funny but someone was serious about this workout tip and took the time to post it for Self Magazine. I’ve ordered subscriptions for everyone at the gym as a Christmas gift. So, remember to bring your toothbrush to class so we can have great smiles and a flatter midsection. Actually, let’s do heavy squats and deadlifts and try not to blow the toothbrush at our team mate in front of us while performing the move.

Be awesome today. And every day.

I read this little tip a few months ago so I decided to take it to the max and I did EVERYTHING on one foot for six damn weeks and my “mid-section” didn’t get one iota flatter. Damn you Self Magazine.
