Rest Day and 31 Heros Workout

The leaves are starting to turn. Get out before school begins and summer is complete.

We will announce our fall schedule soon.  Watch for options to improve your Olympic lifting and your Powerlifting.  As many of you have seen, we have had a small group using bands and working on the speed component of strength.  The results are rather impressive for our test pilots and now everyone who wants too will have the opportunity to join the fun.  Still like the regular workouts but want to work on your strength too?  That’s what we want as well and have designed a program so you can work on both.  Be ready for the fun as well as the work.

Saturday September 3 we are hosting the 31 Heros Workout to raise money for the families of the 31 soldiers who were killed the the helicopter downing on August 6, 2011. Sign up now here.

The workout has been announced and here it is:

“31Heroes”
AMRAP 31 Min (As Many Reps As Possible)
8 Thrusters (155/105)
6 Rope Climbs (15 ft. ascent)
11 Box Jumps (30/24)

This is a Partner WOD – Partner #1 will perform the work listed above. Partner #2 will run 400m with a sandbag (45/25). Once Partner #2 returns from the run, Partner #1 will grab the sandbag and begin their 400m, while Partner #2 continues work wherever #1 left off.

Score – Total # of reps

Don’t have a partner.  Doesn’t matter.  Not sure what you’re doing that day? Doesn’t matter.  Your dog is on fire?  Doesn’t matter.  Sign up and make a donation now.  Don’t want to do the workout?  No problem, make a donation anyway.  There are many who make the sacrifice so we can live peaceably in the greatest country on earth.  Got a problem with the military or our government?  Doesn’t matter.  Help us help these families whose hero’s died serving us.
