Rest Day thoughts

Follow this link for an interesting read on your changing body. The body shape and muscularity sentiment is brought up by most ladies when they begin, and quite a few of the guys. The best description of how you will change that I have found is, “CrossFit will make you a more and better whatever you already are.”

This is easily illustrated around the gym by noting just bodyweight of several of the guys and ladies and seeing each of their different body shapes. Within a few pounds, Alan, Craig and Parker tip the scales pretty evenly. For the ladies, Faith, Joanie, and Jackie are close on the scales as well. I may be giving away secrets, but noting the above similarities, you can see that at nearly the same bodyweight, we all look very different.

Enjoy the article.  Although it’s not scientific, it mirrors what we see everyday.  If you want scientific, Go see our friend Jason Bojar and get a body composition test and start the process of tracking what is happening on the inside.  Taking the test and recording the results gives you real information and acts as a starting point for how you progress in your fitness.  The results don’t matter as much as the trend over time.  Repeating the test yearly, twice yearly, quarterly or more, will provide points on a graph to see if you are improving or falling behind.  If you change your diet or workout regularity, you can also see the trend of health and fitness based on your programming.

So the test of how do you feel, how do you look, how do you perform can be supplemented by scientific medical information.  Don’t delay if you want better evidence of your progress.

See you at the park tomorrow.  It’s going to be FUN, Fun, fun!
