Watch the clip below.  In the first part, it shows the end of an Olympic race.  The shorter runner ends up winning the race because his cadence is faster, not because his stride is longer.  Note in the slow motion clip that the stride is exactly the same.  Pace, not stride length wins the race.

The second part of the clip is Dr. Nicholas Romanov running on ice demonstrating very clearly pulling the feet under the hips, not pushing out of the back and reaching out for the landing.  Watch the clip and learn.  This form is the goal of our running class.
