Winter Team Challenge

Thad and Makenzie in Glenwood Springs will be hosting a winter team challenge on January 22. See the information below. If you are interested, let us know and we can sign up. If we are short a person here or there, we’ll contact our friends and see about combining some folks from other gyms so more of you can participate. It’s going to be fun, fun, fun.
*Join us up in the Roaring Fork Valley for the first annual Winter Team
Challenge! *

*On Sunday, January 22nd, teams from all over the state of Colorado are
welcome to come test their fitness at Glenwood Springs CrossFit. This is a
TEAM
ONLY challenge. Your team must consist of 2 men, and 2 women. It doesn’t
matter if you are all from the same gym, just get a team together and
sign-up fast as we have limited slots available. There will be prizes for
the top 3 teams in each division. *

*
*

*Divisions:*

*We will have two divisions for competition; Open and Masters. In order
for your team to qualify as Masters, all 4 members MUST be 35+ years of
age. *

*
*

*WOD’s:*

*There will be 3 events through-out the day. All WOD’s will be programmed
to allow athletes with all ability levels to participate in each event.
You will not be finding out the WOD’s until the day of the event. *

*
*

*Food/Accomodations:*

*We will have healthy food available on-site, and there are restaurants
close-by. We will have 2,000 SQ Feet available as a warm-up area/athlete’s
lounge. If you are planning on coming up for the weekend, please contact
us and we can advise you on the best places to stay. *

*
*

*Cost: *

*$100/team. *

*
*

*Snow Clause: *

*As we do live in the mountains, and it does occasionally snow here, we
will have a “Snow Clause” in place, allowing for refunds in the event that
we get a foot or more of snow, or the passes/canyon are closed, which would
lead to you being unable to attend our event. Pray for SUN!*

And Don’t forget, we are doing a collection of goods and goodies to send to Afghanistan. So if you want to send a few items, bring it on. We will be mailing it on Friday. Thanks to everyone who has donated thus far. We appreciate everyones help with this.

Enjoy these pics of our ladies getting full extension on our cleans Monday. How do you get this? Practice, practice, practice. Lift after lift, listening to the coaching, practicing the move, focusing on the small details and getting it right.

The Olympic lifts are complicated. If you want more practice so you can get better and more powerful, don’t forget about our Monday night Olympic lifting class. It’s fun and allows for smaller group coaching on these specific skills.

Better every day. It’s up to you to decide how much better.

    Nice Joanie!

If you are interested in doing this team challenge, put your name on the board and then we will divide into teams. Telluride CF might have some people that need a team also, so we can match ourselves up. But we need to go ahead and commit!
