Kettlebility … Say, What?

We had some good movements  and stretching today but, really, what the eff is Kettlebility? Nothing. It’s just some stupid name I made up for the post.

What is this, 1977?

What is this, 1977? Hey, Josh! Jane Fonda called … she wants her move back?

We took a slightly different approach to a mobility day today. And, I think, it was well received … and lord knows we all needed it!

Here’s how it works:
First, we perform the prescribed 3 minute AMRAP and follow that with about 6 minutes of mobility, which focuses on the movements we used in the AMRAP.

Second, you get to pick your kettle bell weight and the intensity with which you do the AMRAP. The point is to move consistently for the 3 minutes. If you want to make sure you get a cardio/endurance WOD in, then grab a heavy kettle bell and go really, really hard for 3 minutes. If you’re just tired and sore and beat down, then move languidly (but consistently) and with a lighter kettle bell.

The focus today is on the mobility and using the movements in the AMRAPs to ready our bodies for good mobility work. Hopefully, you all feel better than before class!
