Parkour and Rest

If you didn’t make it to Telluride today, you sure missed out on some big body throwing fun.  Alan, Faith, Bill, Jef, Jackie, and Martha made the trek and did the Parkour Seminar with Apex Movement, a CrossFit Affiliate on the front range.  Some of us had been to Durango for a similar introductory clinic and had so much fun we did it again.

We learned rolling, jumping, balance, landing, running, flying…we acted like kids with crash pads.  It was especially fun seeing Bill fly through the air with the greatest of ease.  Make sure that if you are available, take these kinds of opportunities so you can try new things.  Remember that you are strong and in good condition and this allows you to do things you didn’t think you could.  Use your fitness for fun.  After all, you are not just a gym superhero.  You are fit…CrossFit…and you can do anything you think you can, and a whole lot of things you didn’t know you could.

Get out there and try something new and even scare yourself.  Most of all, HAVE FUN.  You only have one shot at it, so make the most of it.
